From the other pages on this site It should be clear that DAN the Disabled People's Direct Action Network is the leading organisation of disabled people campaigning for positive change in the UK. Don't be fooled by DAN's impact or reputation. It is run entirely through committment of disabled people.All of the people you see on the streets are ordinary disabled people streets are on benifit and really not rich at all. To organise these demonstrations, to empower disabled people to effectively advocate for themselves we need your donations NOW. No matter how small or large. All the money goes directly to the campaign to free disabled people from institutions. There are no salaries in DAN. Typically your money will go to supporting Danners hotel bills, transport costs, food on the demonstration, and some organisers Phone bills which are enormous. This is the first site to offer this opportunity to you reaqlly support the grass roots movement in the UK. Literally the more you donate the more the movement will grow and the faster the changes we all want will happen. Don't trust political parties or politicians, Don't trust the established charities who have never supported DAN and still lock us away, trust the people who really know what's going on....Disabled people who are actively putting their bodies on the line for change.
